10 Reasons Why You Should Switch to LED Lights
1. Use Less Energy
LED light bulbs use less energy than traditional bulbs. You can replace a high wattage light with a significantly lower wattage LED light. Our high bay 300W CHB fixtures replace up to 1000W HID fixtures.
2. Save money
By switching to LED lights, you’ll be able to decrease your energy usage which will significantly decrease your energy costs! LED lights also require less maintenance, so you won’t be spending money on maintenance costs such as work-hours lost or shutdowns due to repairs or changing light bulbs. See how we’ve saved our customer over $7,000 a year by switching to LED fixture.
3. Can withstand extreme heat
LED fixtures are built to withstand rugged environments. They can be used in low temperatures as well as in high temperatures. We have fixtures that can be used in temperatures up to +100°C.
4. More Efficient
LED lights are more efficient than a traditional bulb. LED lights have a heat sink built into the fixture that dissipates the heat. There is less wasted heat as more of the energy is being converted into light; whereas, incandescent bulbs release 90% of their energy as heat.
5. Longer Lifespan
The average LED light lasts over 50,000 hours which is on average, 25 times longer than a traditional bulb. Some LED lights have an even longer lifespan. Our Food Processing Light is rated for over 304,000 hours!
6. Fewer Fixtures Required
The quality of light distributed in an LED light fixture is better than that of traditional bulbs. LED fixtures can direct their light in various beam angles for different applications. Replacing old light fixtures can result in less LED fixtures required.
7. High CRI
LED lights have a higher CRI or Colour Rendering Index than other lights. This is the measurement of how accurately a light source renders colour in reference to an ideal light source, the sun. Our Food Processing Light has a CRI rating of 90 out of 100; the highest rating currently available.
8. Correlated Colour Temperature Options
CCT is the appearance of the light that is emitted by a fixture. LED lights come in different CCT options, allowing a range of colours from fixtures that emit a warm-toned yellowish light to fixtures that emit a cool-toned white light.
9. Small environmental impact
LED lights contain no mercury and are made from non-toxic materials that are recyclable which leaves them with a smaller environmental impact than traditional lights. They produce very little infrared light and close to no UV emissions which allows them to be able to shine on sensitive objects.
10. Flexible design
There is an LED fixture for every environment as LED fixtures can come in all different shapes, sizes, wattages, and uses. There is an LED lighting solution available to fit your needs, from households to RV’s, from cranes to warehouses, and from hazardous locations to food processing areas.
